1) Help collect and compile organizational profiles for our Newcomer Net Online Resource Directory of the services available to refugee, asylee and immigrant community in the Greater Boston area as well as a listing of cultural events. Tasks include web research, phone calls, data entry and some in-person data collection as well as helping to keep website up-to-date with relevant postings, articles, and news items.
2) Attend and assist in the organization of monthly workshops including communication and outreach to participants. Specific tasks include sending workshop invitations and materials to participants, phone call reminders, ordering food and note-taking.
3) Assist with the planning of the annual transModa: a Fusion of World Fashion show held every year on March 8th. Tasks include everything from research and logistical coordination of outfits and models, to greeting at the door and assisting with the silent auction.

- Self-motivated and ability to work without constant supervision
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good organization skills and attention to detail
- Good research and writing skills
- Ability to work with a diverse range of people in a multicultural setting
